Be A Man is a short film produced and created by the combined efforts of current students and alumni of the New School including the School for Drama, Performing Arts, Public Engagement, and Media Studies. Filmed on location at Upright Brewhouse in the East Village and a Brooklyn Apartment.
It's Cyrus last night in town and he's determined to get his friend Adam laid. But when Adam unexpectedly hits it off with a kindred spirit Danielle he finds himself caught between the expectations of Cyrus and his own instincts. A dark comedy about toxic masculinity and societies perception of what it means to be a man.
This film is currently being submitted to festivals but can be viewed on request. Selected reel footage coming soon.
